Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in continuous improvement in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Experience analyzing data with Excel and other software tools.
• Minimum two years of manufacturing experience; glass manufacturing preferred.
• Willing to provide after-hours, weekend, and on-call support.
• Ability to collaborate with union and salary personnel to troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes on existing processes to determine best operating set points and procedures.
• Identify, plan, and implement new products and processes for expansion or improvement of business.
• Use 6-Sigma statistical techniques to analyze existing data and to design and run trials.
• Leads project and troubleshooting teams to determine root cause and corrective action solutions.
• Ensure that products are made in accordance with documented procedures; manage deviations through PDC and ECN processes.
• Verifies equipment set-ups, performs observations, and monitors manufacturing processes to detect trends and deviations.
