Job summary

HappyRobot is hiring an Accounting Manager, General Ledger & OPEX to design and own the core close, multi-entity consolidation, and operating-expense accounting from scratch. You will be a key partner to the Head of Accounting and drive automation across US, UK, Spain, and Brazil entities.

You will build scalable processes, own GL policy decisions, and prepare for the first external audit, leveraging AI finance tools to eliminate repetitive tasks and tighten controls.

Qualifications

• End-to-end month-end close design and execution from scratch.
• Strategic partnership on GL and policy decisions.
• Automate repetitive close tasks using AI tools.
• Build multi-entity consolidation across US/UK/Spain/Brazil.
• Own OPEX accounting, including accruals and variance analysis.
• Reconcile AP feeds with the general ledger and close gaps.
• Prepare for first external audit with strong controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable close processes with reconciliations and accruals.
• Partner with Head of Accounting on GL policy and operations.
• Drive automation to reduce manual close tasks.
• Oversee multi-entity consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Own end-to-end OPEX accounting and budget-to-actual analyses.
• Ensure audit readiness and maintain reconciliation documentation.
