Job summary

City of Hermitage is seeking a GIS & Utilities Technician to support our Facilities & Grounds Director. You will collect and verify data for GIS mapping, and use GPS to locate city infrastructure in the field.

You will participate in large project meetings and manage PA One Call notifications. Qualified candidates have an associate degree or equivalent GIS experience, proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS and GPS data collection standards, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in geography, computer science or related field.
• Two years of GIS experience or equivalent education required.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and GPS data collection standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify data for GIS program mapping.
• Use GPS equipment to field locate and identify city infrastructure.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings for major projects.
• Coordinate and respond to PA One Call notifications.
• Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks.
