Job summary

City of Hermitage is seeking a GIS & Utilities Technician to support the GIS program mapping by field locating city infrastructure and verifying data. You will participate in pre-construction meetings and coordinate PA One Call notifications, along with performing required administrative tasks.

The position requires an associate’s degree in geography, computer science or related field and at least two years of GIS experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in geography, computer science or related field.
• Minimum of two years of GIS-related experience.
• Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software and GPS data collection standards.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Field locate and verify city infrastructure for GIS mapping.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings for major/complex projects.
• Coordinate and respond to PA One Call notifications.
• Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks.
