Job summary

The City of Cibolo is seeking a GIS Technician to collect, create, update, and QA/QC GIS data for Water and Wastewater. This role uses ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, GPS field data collection, and MS Office 365 within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include maintaining GIS datasets, supporting inter-department projects, and generating outputs for internal and external stakeholders. This position starts Oct 2026 or later with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, or related field.
• 1 year of experience with ESRI ArcGIS software and survey-grade GPS technology.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products, ArcGIS Online, and ESRI ArcGIS Pro.

Responsibilities

• Maintain authoritative GIS datasets and hosted layers for Public Works.
• Perform QA/QC on GIS data and correct issues.
• Collect field data using GPS and integrate with current datasets.
• Support city staff in GIS-related projects and produce specialized analyses.
