Job summary

Qualifications

• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Physical Science, Geography, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
• Experience with geographic information system software.
• Ability to think logically and follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to solve problems in a logical manner.
• Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to learn and use specialized computer system application software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Interprets recorded plans (as-builts) to enter graphic and attribute data into the GIS.
• Creates maps and other GIS-related products.
• Corrects errors with GIS data.
• Operates and maintains various types of GIS hardware including plotters and workstations.
• Troubleshoots and resolves different software and hardware issues.
