Job summary

Parker Water & Sanitation District is seeking an entry-level GIS technician to support data maintenance, digitizing, mapping, and field verification.

Under supervision, you will work with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and GPS devices, performing data entry, quality checks, and routine map production while adhering to district standards. This is an in-office position with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Zero to two years GIS experience (internships or academic projects accepted).
Must possess a valid driver’s license and MVR acceptable by the District’s insurance.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate data entry, editing, digitizing, and basic map production.
Follow workflows, naming conventions, and quality controls.
Research source records and verify asset information using GPS and mobile GIS tools.
Escalate incomplete or inconsistent information to staff.
Document routine change requests and update GIS products per standards.
Support GIS projects and maintain communications with the team.
