Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an entry-level GIS Technician to join our team in Florida. You will support Designers, Engineers, and GIS Management by preparing cartographic displays and drawings using ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and MicroStation while assisting with ArcGIS Online web tools.

You will track project status, maintain drawing standards, and help manage field data collection and post-processing using common software like MS Word, Excel, Access, and PDFs.

Qualifications

Basic GIS knowledge and cartographic understanding required.
Ability to prepare drawings and support engineering and construction deliverables.
Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, and related software tools.

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings using ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Microstation or other packages.
Assist in creating web-based mapping tools and dashboards for clients and internal use.
Maintain graphical features in client GIS systems and develop drawing standards.
Support field data collection tools and post-processing tasks.
Document and report using MS Word, Excel, Access, and related programs.
Perform QA/QC and meet project deadlines.
