Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an entry-level GIS Technician to support engineers, designers, and GIS management in producing cartographic drawings of electrical assets. The role emphasizes ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and web-based mapping tools, with QA/QC and deadlines driving the workflow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED) and up to two years in GIS/CAD, with a preference for an associates or bachelor's in GIS/geospatial fields. On-site work in Marietta, GA is expected.

Qualifications

Entry-level term with 0–2 years in GIS/CAD.

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings using ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Microstation.
Assist in creating web-based mapping tools (ArcGIS Online) and dashboards.
Maintain graphical features in client GIS systems such as ArcFM, Intergraph FRAMME, Small World, or G-Tech.
Develop knowledge of client construction standards and utility information systems.
Maintain drawing standards for company drawings (fonts, line weights, borders).
Documentation and reporting with MS Word, MS Excel, Access, Fulcrum, Nitro Pro, and Adobe Acrobat.
