Job summary

City of El Paso is seeking a GIS professional to manage and coordinate GIS hardware and applications, develop a computerized mapping system, and ensure data integrity for city-wide projects.

Under supervision, you will train end users, define procedures, and collaborate with information technology and city departments. A Bachelor's degree and 3 years GIS experience are required, plus CJIS background eligibility.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in MIS, CS, geography, or related field.
• Three years of experience developing and maintaining GIS applications.
• Experience with SDE, ArcGIS Server programming or Flex viewer programming.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate operation of GIS hardware and software.
• Develop and implement computerized mapping system.
• Instruct and provide technical support to system end users.
• Prepare security and auditing procedures for system access.
• Coordinate projects and liaise with City departments.
