Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a temporary student assistant in Capital Planning and Design to create, update, and maintain a GIS database, using Trimble GPS equipment. You will collect field data to update campus maps and space allocations, and import CAD data from existing campus files.

The role supports multiple campus projects with minimal supervision and a collaborative team approach. Qualified undergraduates enrolled in at least six Fall/Spring units, preferably Geography or MSIS – Geospatial

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GIS, GPS and remote sensing
• ArcGIS proficiency required or preferred
• Undergraduate students must be enrolled in minimum Fall/Spring units

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain GIS database using Trimble GPS equipment
• Import CAD data from campus files for projects
• Conduct field surveys to update campus maps and spaces
• Maintain and update campus space allocation drawings
• Perform other duties as assigned
