Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking a GIS support professional to maintain geospatial data, develop maps, and support enterprise GIS applications. You will assist with data provisioning, scripting, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely GIS solutions for operations and engineering teams.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in GIS or an associated degree with GIS experience; familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS, projections, and datums is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a GIS-related field preferred.
  • Associate Degree with two years GIS work experience using ESRI products or equivalent education/experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of ArcGIS suite, datums, coordinate systems and projections required.
  • ESRI certifications will be evaluated.

Responsibilities

  • Support spatial processing, geospatial data provisioning, geodatabase maintenance and web services used in the GIS environment.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining geospatial data for enterprise systems (vector data, elevation, imagery).
  • Develop and maintain models and scripts to automate geoprocessing workflows.
  • Support GIS data lifecycle activities (development, provisioning, deployment).
  • Maintain documentation for geospatial data standards, processes, and deployment procedures.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in GIS
Associate Degree + 2 years GIS experience
