Job summary

Siemens AG in Wendell, NC is seeking a Team Lead for the GIS Production Team on 3rd shift, after an initial 1st shift training period. The role reports to the Production Manager and requires leadership of manufacturing activities at the Wendell plant.

Shift hours are 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM with a starting hourly rate of $24.79 plus a $1.50 shift differential. The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing experience and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of all operations in the area, material flow and SAP transactions.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Experience in training programs.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Empowers the team, coordinates employees to fulfill work schedules and acts as backup for the Production Manager.
• Oversees cross-training, maintains the training matrix and ensures tool calibration is current.
• Demonstrates time management, prioritizes tasks and ensures adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety policies.
• Conducts SAP transactions and updates production reports and metrics.
• Identifies production issues and collaborates with departments to resolve them and drive continuous improvement.
• Applies Lean principles (5S/6S, 8 Wastes, VSM, Kaizens) and maintains a clean, safe work area.
