Job summary

Siemens AG in Wendell, NC is seeking an Electrical Assembler Level I to join the GIS Production Team on the 3rd shift. The role involves sub-assembly wiring and final wiring for Low/Medium Voltage equipment such as switchgears, switchboards, and breakers.

Training on the 1st shift is provided before transitioning to the 3rd shift. Shift hours are 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a base hourly rate of 20.36 and a 1.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
• 1+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Proficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
• Experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship.
• Work with large power cables, ensuring correct crimping methods and assembling components on panels.
• Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and use torque wrenches, following processes and seeking improvements.
• Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies; be a strong team player.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
