Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a Planning & GIS Technician to support the Development Services Department with planning, GIS, and project coordination. You will assist with development applications, permitting, records management, and data analysis, helping maintain maps, exhibits, and tracking systems.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with staff, engineers, consultants, and the public, in a dynamic municipal setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of admin/planning/GIS/project coordination preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s in related field preferred.
• Texas driver’s license required; acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and zoning, development applications, permitting, and related activities; organize materials and deadlines.
• Create and maintain maps, GIS layers, exhibits for development projects.
• Track development applications, infrastructure projects, and milestones; monitor items and deadlines.
• Coordinate meetings; prepare agendas, materials, presentations, and correspondence; document decisions.
