Job summary

The City of Maypearl is seeking an experienced events professional to plan, coordinate, and execute community events and programs that support local engagement and economic vitality. You will lead logistics, manage volunteers, and coordinate with sponsors while aligning with city branding and community goals.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years of recreation or event planning experience, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor's degree required in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Leisure Studies, or related field.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills, able to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, promote, and execute community events, programs, festivals, and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate logistics: vendors, contractors, volunteers, sponsors, and event operations.
• Assist in budgeting, reporting, and sponsor visibility; maintain event records and equipment.
