Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a GIS Intern in Kansas City, MO. You will apply standard engineering techniques to assist with design updates, work with lead engineers on core duties, and support project tasks across market segments. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential.

This is a full-time internship with potential learning opportunities within 1898 & Co. The role requires enrollment in a GIS/related program, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or technical program related to the department work.
• Strong communication skills, problem solving, and leadership abilities.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques to design tasks and update designs.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and duties assigned.
• Perform tasks varying by market with guidance from senior team members.
