Qualifications

• Coursework in GIS, Geography, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Sufficient experience to understand basic GIS principles.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains spatial data; performs data entry, editing and data manipulation; ensures data quality; applies and maintains data standards.
• Incorporates as-builts into GIS by geo-referencing and linking drawings to utility features.
• Collects GPS data in the field and reviews observations to update utility features.
• Generates and manages data from various sources with metadata.
• Provides data upon request to public and private sectors.
• Applies cartographic principles to produce maps, images and interactive applications.
• Maintains knowledge of GIS functionality, principles, and practices.
• Performs related work as required.
