Job summary

Ardurra Group, Inc. in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a GIS Intern to work with our engineering and GIS team on real projects. You'll gain hands-on experience with GIS and data management, create and update maps, and support field data collection.

Under supervision, you'll assist with spatial data analysis, database maintenance, and project documentation, learning GIS workflows used in municipal, environmental, and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or related field.
• Interest in GIS, mapping, spatial data, municipal infrastructure, engineering, and/or the built environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, or other GIS/CAD software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs entry-level GIS tasks on a variety of engineering and mapping projects.
• Assists with creating, updating, and maintaining GIS maps, datasets, and project information.
• Supports the collection, organization, editing, and analysis of spatial data.
• Maintains GIS databases, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
• Supports field data collection and documents mapping of existing infrastructure and site conditions.
• Prepares maps, exhibits, figures, and other GIS-related deliverables.
