Job summary

You will assist with design tasks, data collection, documentation, and coordination with municipalities and stakeholders while developing technical skills. The role emphasizes foundational civil engineering knowledge, team collaboration, and hands-on exposure to AutoCAD/Civil 3D, GIS, and mapping software in a real-world public works

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interest in civil engineering and municipal infrastructure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team-oriented.
• Working knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D/GIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry-level civil engineering support on municipal projects.
• Assist with roadway, drainage, stormwater, and site design tasks.
• Support data collection, basic calculations, and project documentation.
• Help prepare plans, maps, and exhibits for municipal projects.
• Coordinate with municipalities, utilities, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Support field investigations and site visits to document conditions.
• Gain experience with engineering software for drafting and design.
