As a GIS Intern, you’ll work with our engineering and GIS team on a variety of projects while gaining hands‑on experience with geographic information systems and data management. You’ll assist with tasks such as creating and updating maps, organizing and analyzing spatial data, maintaining GIS databases, and supporting field data collection and project mapping. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and build your GIS skills in a real‑world engineering environment.
Under moderate supervision, the GIS Intern supports the engineering and GIS team with a variety of geographic information systems, mapping, and data management projects. The Intern will gain hands‑on experience with GIS mapping, spatial data analysis, database management, field data collection, and project documentation. The Intern will work alongside experienced GIS professionals, engineers, and other project team members to develop an understanding of how GIS is applied to engineering, municipal, environmental, and infrastructure projects. The Intern is expected to demonstrate growing technical skills, initiative, attention to detail, and reliability in supporting project teams.
