Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking GIS Interns to assist lead engineers with project duties, correct and update designs, and support standard engineering tasks across market segments. You will apply engineering techniques and work on diverse assignments as part of a team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in GIS or related field, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and can work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Full-time schedule and on-site work in Kansas City, MO are expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program; in good standing.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership and active campus involvement.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without future sponsorship.
