Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to support environmental services projects in Kansas City. You will apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, and contribute to data entry, documentation, and presentations.

The role emphasizes GIS/geospatial work, campus involvement, and strong communication. You must be enrolled in a relevant degree program and authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a desire to grow in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with standard engineering design tasks and documentation.
• Support lead engineers with project duties and data entry.
• Contribute to data analysis and presentation preparation (PowerPoint).
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and ad hoc projects.
