Job summary

KC Harvey Environmental is seeking a Staff GIS Analyst to join our geospatial team across multiple western offices. The role concentrates on designing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial elements for projects in mining, energy, permitting, and government work.

You will create clean, publication-ready maps and figures, maintain data quality, and develop dashboards and web apps. A Geography/GIS degree and 2–5 years of consulting experience are preferred, with strong ArcGIS skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of professional GIS experience, preferably in consulting or professional services.
• Strong cartographic and graphic design skills; applicants should submit a portfolio or map samples with their application.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal, ArcGIS Field Maps, and Survey123.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word; experience with Python/ArcPy, Adobe Illustrator or InDesign, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and QGIS is a plus; GISP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality maps, figures, and exhibits for permit applications, technical reports, client deliverables, and proposals.
• Develop and maintain company cartographic standards and map templates.
• Build, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 forms to support field crews.
• Manage geodatabases and ArcGIS Online/Portal content, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and organization.
• Process, QA/QC, and integrate GPS and mobile data collected by field crews.
• Develop dashboards and web applications for internal project tracking and client use.
• Collaborate with project managers and technical staff to understand project needs and deliver GIS products on schedule and within budget.
