Job summary
The City of Cedar Hill is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to support the city's geographic information systems and advance data‑driven decision making across departments. You will capture, edit, and maintain spatial data and produce accurate maps using ESRI software.
This role focuses on 911 address data management, planning, engineering, and utility GIS data while collaborating on geospatial solutions that support municipal operations and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems
- 3+ years of GIS experience with ESRI products
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise/Server, and SDE/SQL geodatabases
- Programming in Python, HTML5, SQL, FME
- Texas Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to read civil engineering drawings
- Familiarity with Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator
Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and maintain GIS data and maps
- Support GIS platforms and routine geospatial processing tasks
- Focus on 911 address data management, planning, engineering, and utility GIS data
- Assist with Enterprise GIS setup and data workflows
