Job summary

The City of Henderson is seeking a part-time GIS Assistant to support the Utility Services Department’s GIS operations. This role offers an average schedule of 29 hours per week and is eligible for PERS; it does not include employer-paid benefits beyond PERS or union representation.

Under supervision, you will collect, assess and enter GIS data, supporting data quality and map generation while performing related duties as assigned. A Nevada or border-state driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of data entry experience with computer software such as Excel.
• Equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or border state driver's license.
• Desirable: enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in GIS/Geography, Engineering, or Computer Science.
