Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions in Greenville, SC is seeking a GIS Analyst to transform spatial data into actionable insights for utility vegetation management. You will analyze data, build GIS databases, and create maps and dashboards to support infrastructure planning and regulatory reporting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in GIS with ArcGIS/QGIS, strong communication, and the ability to work independently, with a readiness to travel for field data collection when needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of GIS software and databases experience (ESRI Suite)
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or related field
• Proficiency in ArcGIS and QGIS
• Experience with spatial data formats and coordinate systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret spatial data for UVM programs and planning
• Create, maintain GIS databases, maps, and dashboards
• Perform spatial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support field crews with reports, maps, spreadsheets, etc.
• Manage databases and Excel reports
• Integrate GPS data into GIS systems with field teams
• Generate reports and visualizations for decision-making and compliance
• Ensure data accuracy across platforms and projects
• Assist in developing automated GIS workflows
• Travel may be required for field data collection
