Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Urban/Regional Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum two years GIS experience. Experience with Esri ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
  • Knowledge of GIS principles, spatial analysis, geodatabase design, and cartography.
  • Familiarity with urban/regional planning concepts and local government contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Support GIS project planning, scheduling, and execution under the GIS Project Manager.
  • Perform spatial analysis, data processing, and geoprocessing tasks to support planning projects.
  • Assist in developing project scopes, deliverables, and timelines for tasks.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of GIS deliverables and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project success.
  • Prepare maps, reports, and documentation for partners and managers.
  • Assist in evaluating new GIS technologies and tools for planning decisions.
  • Coordinate with IPS agencies and staff for licensing and configuration of GIS products.
  • Deliver training to staff, students, and local government personnel on GIS tools.
