Job summary

Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking a GIS Analyst II to design, implement, support, and administer all aspects of the department's enterprise GIS for statewide outdoor recreation and trail planning. The role collaborates with NDOR staff and federal, state, local, nonprofit, and private partners to improve data accuracy and accessibility.

Primary duties include managing statewide datasets, supporting the Nevada Trail Finder, creating maps and GIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field with two years of GIS experience.
• Associate degree in GIS with three years of professional GIS experience.
• High school diploma with four years GIS experience, or Nevada GIS Analyst I experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain statewide GIS datasets and improve trail and outdoor recreation data.
• Support the Nevada Trail Finder website and related GIS applications.
• Coordinate with NDOR staff and partners to enhance data accuracy and accessibility.
• Provide GIS technical assistance, data services, and web mapping support.
