Job summary

The Idaho Fish and Game department is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst III to join the team. This position will plan, design, conduct, and oversee GIS development and analysis projects; serve as technical lead and/or subject matter expert in GIS technology and applications; perform related work.

Responsibilities include leading GIS development, publishing web services, creating mobile data collection apps, and managing ArcGIS Enterprise/Online environments with a focus on

Qualifications

Considerable knowledge of GIS including analysis, data capture and data conversion.
Cartographic principles knowledge and map production experience.
Programming knowledge in GIS languages and tools (e.g., Python).
Database management experience with GIS datasets and SQL or similar systems.
Web APIs knowledge related to GIS or spatial web apps.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, conduct, and oversee GIS development and analysis projects.
Lead GIS technology initiatives as a subject matter expert.
Develop and maintain GIS web services and surveys.
Create mobile data collection apps using Survey123 and Field Maps.
Administer ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
