Job summary

The State of Nevada is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst 1 underfill for a GIS Analyst 2, to join the Planning & Development Division in Carson City. The role supports statewide planning, data management, and GIS product development aligned with the One Nevada Transportation Plan.

Design, test, and implement GIS applications; manage geospatial data and ensure data quality. On-site work only, with opportunities for progression after meeting qualifications and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in GIS or related field with 1 year GIS experience.
• Associate degree with 2 years GIS experience; at least 1 year professional GIS.
• High school or equivalent with 3 years GIS experience including at least 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain statewide GIS, including road network and data layers.
• Plan, design, implement and administer multiple spatial databases and security standards.
• Install, configure and administer GIS Server software and publish web maps/services.
• Analyze requirements and design GIS-based solutions; provide end-user support.
• Coordinate training and share GIS data with internal and external entities.
