Job summary

Utah National Guard is seeking a GIS Analyst to map and manage spatial data, support environmental resources missions, and deliver GIS products for the organization. The role blends office GIS work with field data support and requires experience with Esri software and data quality control.

The position is full-time, on-site in Draper, Utah, with a criminal history check and background screening required. You will collaborate with staff and consultants to design and complete critical projects

Qualifications

Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
Knowledge of Field Maps and Survey123 preferred.
Strong background in cartography, spatial analysis and data collection/storage.
Must be able to maintain Utah driver’s license and obtain DOD access clearance.

Responsibilities

Product Creation: Formatting and generating a variety of GIS products, including maps, templates, shapefiles, tables and reports.
Data Management: Extracting, organizing and performing quality control on data.
Analysis & Maintenance: Querying and analyzing spatial data, maintaining geospatial databases, and converting non-GIS information into GIS formats.
Field Support: Facilitating field data collection and standardizing department-collected data layers.
Process Improvement: Developing and testing GIS applications to meet customer needs and improving quality control processes for spatial data.
