Job summary
The Utah National Guard is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to support Environmental Resources Management by creating, maintaining, and analyzing spatial data with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise. The role blends office GIS tasks with field data collection and collaboration with staff and consultants.
Candidates should have cartography and spatial analysis skills, knowledge of Esri Field Maps and Survey123 is a plus, and the ability to obtain DOD computer access clearance
Qualifications
- ArcGIS proficiency with Online/Enterprise/Pro is essential.
- Esri Field Maps and Survey123 experience preferred.
- Strong cartography and spatial analysis background.
- MS Word and Excel proficiency; general computing knowledge.
- Strong deductive reasoning and critical thinking.
- Must obtain DOD access clearance and Utah driving privileges.
Responsibilities
- Product Creation: format GIS products including maps, shapefiles, tables, and reports.
- Data Management: extract, organize, and quality control spatial data.
- Analysis & Maintenance: query and maintain geospatial databases.
- Field Support: assist field data collection and data standardization.
- Process Improvement: develop GIS apps to meet customer needs and improve QC.
