Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a GIS Specialist to enhance the Districts geospatial capabilities. You will analyze spatial data, maintain databases, and support ArcGIS applications for diverse districts and projects.

You will train end users, create maps and dashboards, and help deliver data-driven insights for city partners and internal teams. Collaboration and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field
• Two or more years of experience with ESRI's ArcGIS suite of software, version 10.0 or higher
• Two or more years of experience with relational databases, data retrieval, and ad-hoc reporting tools (SQL)

Responsibilities

• Perform geospatial analysis for data quality assurance in GIS and integrated data repositories
• Maintain database information including File Geodatabases, SDE databases, SQL databases, and asset management records
• Assist with training and technical support to end users regarding GIS and related hardware/software
• Create system-wide maps, visualizations and reports for special projects
• Develop dashboards and exhibits for Board/Committee presentations
• Support GIS applications deployment and GIS web services
