Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is seeking a GIS Analyst to advance our GIS capabilities, support staff and consultants, and develop data-driven solutions for district-wide projects. The role emphasizes ArcGIS technology, data integrity, and process documentation.

The position involves creating dashboards, supporting field data collection, UAV projects, and producing reports for Board presentations. Strong collaboration and the ability to learn new systems quickly are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with ESRI's ArcGIS suite (v10.0 or newer).
• 2+ years combined experience with GIS, asset management, ERP, HRIS, CRM or relational databases and ad-hoc reporting tools (SQL).
• Strong familiarity with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, AGOL and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Experience with data quality, documentation, and creating dashboards/reports for multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain database information: File Geodatabases, SDE, SQL databases, Maximo records.
• Support GIS applications across engineering, water/wastewater projects, and asset management.
• Provide end-user training and document SOPs for GIS workflows.
• Perform geospatial analysis, QA/QC, and data preparation for dashboards and reports.
• Develop GIS web apps and services; assist in data security and access controls.
