North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking a Geographic Information Analyst to work with enterprise-scale datasets, advanced spatial analysis tools, and Esri technology stack in Arlington, TX. The role supports data-driven projects shaping one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical field with 3+ years of GIS experience, proficiency in Esri software, and strong documentation skills.

• Edit and manage versioned GIS data in a multi-user environment.
• Strong proficiency with Esri technologies.
• Experience performing spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and workflow automation.
• Experience using Python to support GIS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, modeling, and data validation.
• Use Esri technologies including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
• Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and SMEs to define requirements and deliver GIS-based solutions.
• Create, edit, and maintain spatial data within enterprise and file geodatabases.
• Perform data editing in a multi-user editing environment while ensuring data integrity and standards.
• Create web maps and apps, reports, datasets, and analytical products for diverse audiences.
• Participate in data management activities and system administration.
• Develop and maintain documentation, metadata, workflows, and analytical methodologies.
• Support QA/QC to ensure GIS data accuracy and reliability.
• Troubleshoot GIS data and workflow issues and identify process improvements.
