Job summary

New Settlement in the Bronx seeks a Leadership Development Specialist to co-facilitate after-school classes for adolescent girls and young women. You may lead Girls Be Heard, Adventure Learning, Build a Bridge and other programs, with duties spanning instruction, field trips and performance preparation.

Responsibilities include attendance tracking, curriculum delivery, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment while coordinating with the Program Coordinator and other staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher required.
• BSW or Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
• Ability to relate to persons of diverse background.

Responsibilities

• Attend all classes, rehearsals and workshops as scheduled.
• Record attendance for classes and trips.
• Provide instruction in gender-specific classes and workshops with licensed curricula.
• Lead team-building exercises and model respectful communication.
• Support students in developing poems, scenes and college readiness.
• Supervise classes and trips, ensuring participant safety and inclusivity.
