Job summary

The role emphasizes social-emotional learning, educational supports, and creative instruction across disciplines, with orientation to urban youth development and strong collaboration with program staff and school partners.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working in a youth services program.
• Background and criminal checks required (fingerprinting and reference checks).
• Knowledge of 21 CCLC, DYCD, DOE, OCFS, DOHMH regs/guidelines/frameworks.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend bi-weekly strategic planning sessions with Program Director and staff.
• Prepare classroom and program spaces for activities.
• Plan and implement weekly lesson plans related to social-emotional, educational, and recreational activities.
• Lead workshops in sports, technology, leadership, performing arts, prevention, visual arts, or STEAM.
• Escort participants and support school staff during dismissal and school day activities.
• Participate in special events, staff meetings, and outings.
