Shop Made in DC is seeking a Gifting + Experience Coordinator in Washington, DC. The role blends client service, project management and hands-on event support to bring locally made gifts and activations to life.
You’ll handle inquiries, curate products, coordinate details with makers, manage timelines and budgets, and provide on-site presence at events. This role offers diverse, hands-on work in a collaborative environment.
The Gifting + Experience Coordinator helps bring Shop Made’s client gifting and events to life. This role supports projects from planning through execution, helping coordinate thoughtful locally made gifts, events and activations while delivering a polished, responsive experience for clients.
You’ll move between client communication, project coordination, maker and product logistics, and hands-on event support — keeping details organized, timelines moving and each experience running smoothly.
This role supports three core areas: coordinating client gifting, supporting event planning and logistics, and providing hands-on support for events and activations.
This isn’t a traditional desk job, and it isn’t purely an events role either.
You’ll spend part of your week communicating with clients and managing projects, part coordinating products and makers, and part helping physically bring those projects to life.
The common thread is making sure people have a great experience with Shop Made from beginning to end.
This role can be hands-on. Events and larger gifting projects may require moving products and supplies, packing boxes, setting up and breaking down event spaces and spending extended periods on your feet.
Some client events may also happen outside of a traditional Monday-Friday schedule, so occasional evening or weekend availability will be part of the role.
Every project you help bring to life creates opportunities for local makers.
A client gift might introduce someone to their new favorite local brand. An event might put an artist in front of hundreds of new people.
Your job is to make the experience feel seamless for the client while helping more local creative businesses get seen, supported and paid.
