Job summary

Sun Valley Gift Shop is seeking a Retail Associate to work in one of our resort venues. The role requires knowledge of product offerings and a focus on delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

Duties include stocking, setting up displays, price tagging, assisting customers, and processing sales with tax. The position is part-time with weekend and holiday shifts, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 45 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work varying a schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching.
• Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
• Occasionally stamp, mark, or tag the merchandise price.
• Obtain merchandise requested by the customer or receive merchandise selected by the customer.
• Answer questions concerning location, price, and use of the merchandise.
• Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
• Accept payment and make the correct change.
• Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
• Clean shelves, counters, or tables.
• Remove and record the amount of cash in the register at the end of the shift.
• Calculate sales discount to determine the price.
• Additional duties as assigned.
