Description
The Sun Valley Ski & Ride team is seeking enthusiastic Guest Relations and Sales Representatives to provide exceptional service and support guests throughout their Ski & Ride experience. This position assists guests with lesson sales, provides information about Ski & Ride, processes transactions, and supports daily operations at Ski & Ride locations. The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, sales-oriented, and committed to creating a welcoming and positive guest experience. Full-time and part-time seasonal positions available.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests, answering questions, providing information, and assisting with Ski & Ride products and services.
- Recommend and sell Ski & Ride lessons, specialty programs, and lift ticket products based on guest needs and interests.
- Maintain current knowledge of Ski & Ride products, programs, pricing, policies, and procedures.
- Process guest transactions accurately and efficiently while following company cash-handling and data privacy standards.
- Provide accurate information about Sun Valley Resort, Ski & Ride operations, and the surrounding area.
- Demonstrate operational excellence by consistently following Ski & Ride policies, procedures, and service standards at all mountain locations.
- Communicate professionally with guests and coworkers in person, by phone, and through computer-based systems.
- Support Ski & Ride Administration, Guest Services staff, and Supervisors with daily operational needs.
- Work collaboratively with Ski & Ride and Resort teams to promote a positive and efficient work environment.
- Serve as a positive ambassador for Sun Valley Resort and represent the Resort professionally in all guest interactions.
- Maintain a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism throughout the workday.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Previous guest service, sales, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and coworkers.
- Strong customer service and sales skills with the ability to understand guest needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with RTP and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new products, systems, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
- Ability to remain focused and productive in an office environment for extended periods.
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching.
- Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varying hours throughout the ski season.
- Availability to work from November through April is required.
