Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is seeking an Assistant Retail Manager to lead the Gift Shop daily operations and deliver outstanding guest service. You will assist the Retail Manager with merchandising, staffing, and sales initiatives while actively guiding a hands-on team on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Retail customer service training preferred.
• 2–4 years of retail experience with at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership responsibility.
• Experience with inventory management, merchandising, and retail operations preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with retail POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Gift Shop operations and act as Manager on Duty in the manager's absence.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, development, and performance management of Team Members.
• Provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance discussions, and foster a positive, engaged team culture.
• Develop and maintain staffing schedules that align with business demands, service standards, and labor budgets.
• Monitor inventory levels, maintain inventory accuracy, support merchandise purchasing decisions, and reduce inventory shrinkage through effective controls.
• Ensure visual merchandising, promotional displays, and store presentation standards are maintained.
• Coordinate special events, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities with internal departments and corporate teams.
• Analyze sales performance, inventory trends, operational metrics, and departmental KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, gaming regulations, and departmental procedures.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and deliver service recovery.
• Recommend process improvements and maintain departmental records and documentation.
