Gift Associate
Job Summary
The Gift Associate is responsible for daily processing of deposits for all charitable gifts for Augusta University and Augusta University Real Estate Foundations. The role involves preparing accurate, timely, and complete gift receipts in compliance with applicable IRS regulations and processing daily gift batches into the donor database.
Responsibilities
- Process all daily gift batches into the Raiser's Edge database, including web donations, credit card batch entries, cash, checks, and other transactions per donor intent and foundation policies.
- Prepare daily gift acknowledgement letters for AUF and AUREF to ensure conformity with IRS regulations.
- Process gifts received directly in Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement for deposit into affiliated entities, ensuring proper funding according to donor intent.
- Analyze gifts to determine appropriate campaigns, funds and appeals; add or update biographical, prospect management, and constituent information as needed.
- Ensure all proper gift documentation is obtained, scanned/files, and maintained in an organized manner for electronic and hard copy records.
- Produce daily gift batch reports, control reports, and ad‑hoc reports pertaining to gifts received.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 3 years progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.
- OR High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and six years progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Experience with gift processing and Raiser's Edge.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M‑F
Pay Band: B6
Salary Range: $18.85/hr – $23.56/hr
Conditions of Employment
- All selected candidates must successfully pass a background check.
- When applicable, candidates must complete a credit check for Positions of Trust or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
- Motor‑vehicle reports are required for positions that require driving an Augusta University vehicle.
- Faculty hires must provide proof of completed academic degree(s) and post‑secondary coursework, original transcripts, and for foreign‑institution candidates, a credential evaluation.
