Job summary

The FAU Foundation in Boca Raton, FL seeks an Accounting Coordinator to support financial operations, gift accounting, reconciliations, compliance, and reporting. The role requires independence, initiative, and sound judgment.

Key duties include gift compliance reviews, bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and assisting with month-end and year-end closes. Collaboration with university departments and committees is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or bachelor's with 2 years of relevant experience; CPA may be required for some positions.
• Strong knowledge of gift accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform gift compliance reviews and approve transactions and journals.
• Reconcile daily revenue data from Raiser's Edge to Workday by gift/revenue codes.
• Complete regular bank reconciliations for cash accounts.
• Assist with sales, property tax returns and state registrations as assigned.
• Maintain the general ledger and monthly journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes with journal entries and analyses.
• Liaise with departments and represent the department in committees.
• Support internal control procedures for accounting activities.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
