Job summary

Cfocf Foundation in Florida seeks a Senior Accountant to ensure GAAP and FASB compliance for nonprofit operations, assist with audits, and manage fund accounting. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports in collaboration with diocesan departments and the CFO team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 4+ years’ experience in accounting, and proficiency with nonprofit accounting systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in accounting
• Experience in non-profit accounting and foundation organizations preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Knowledge of GAAP, FASB and accounting theory, principles and practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts payable, cash receipts transactions and journal entries for review by CFO
• Maintain controls over cash, bank payments and reconciliations
• Assist with annual audit preparation and audit schedules
• Prepare financial statements and internal reports
• Assist with monthly payroll allocations and journal entries
