Job summary

Odessa Endoscopy Center is seeking a Full-Time GI Technician to operate under the direct supervision of a surgeon, aiding in simple and complex endoscopic procedures and ensuring equipment readiness.

The role includes cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes, managing patient flow, and handling room prep, stocking, and clerical tasks in a fast-paced ambulatory GI lab. Weekdays only, no holidays or weekends; some early mornings and later evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI Lab.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred.
• Current BLS required, ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic procedures under supervisor.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and instruments.
• Manage patient flow and prepare rooms for procedures.
• Stock supplies, order materials, and perform clerical tasks.

Odessa Endoscopy Center is hiring a Full-Time GI Technician

Welcome to Odessa Endoscopy Center

We have 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

GI Tech at Odessa Endoscopy Center

The GI Technician/Endoscopy operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and GI technician collaborate in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments. Additional duties of the GI technician include managing patient flow, preparing the room for procedures, stocking supplies, ordering materials, and handling various clerical tasks.
