Job summary

Villages Endoscopy Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc, is seeking a GI Endoscopy Technician to join a fast-paced ASC environment. The role involves scrubbing for GI and OR procedures under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, preparing supplies, and supporting quality improvement activities.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, surgical tech training or 2+ years of experience, and preferably ambulatory center experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a surgical technician program or have 2+ years of surgical tech experience.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and implementation.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff, patients and physicians.
• GI and OR technology certification preferred; CPR current.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures under supervision.
• Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Supports quality improvement activities in the center.
• Collaborates with nurses and physicians to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.

GI GI Endoscopy Technician, Full time

Villages Endoscopy Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Education/Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience of at least two years.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
• Previous clinical experience in GI and Operating Room environment desired.
• Certification in GI and OR Technology preferred.
• Current certification in CPR.
