Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a GI Tech to assist the RN and physician in implementing the care plan. The role includes procedure support, on-call duties, and occasional float to other GI lab locations.

The position offers full-time hours from 6:30am to 5:30pm, with on-call nights/weekends and a sign-on bonus. Prior GI tech or healthcare assistant experience is preferred, with CPR/BLS certification and basic medical knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
• Certification: CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology.
• Basic computer experience; ability to take vitals and perform CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the direction of the RN in implementing the plan of care.
• Assist physician and RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Set up procedures, maintain supplies/equipment, and reprocess endoscopes.
• Meet on-call criteria and float to other GI Lab locations.
