Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced RN to coordinate and deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care while adhering to ANA standards and the organization’s policies.

In this role you will participate in clinical decision-making, education, and mentoring of other staff, ensuring safe and compassionate care throughout the patient plan of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
• Oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Strong human relations and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in keyboard data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provision and coordination of clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned patient group.
• Adherence to ANA standards, ethics, and organizational policies.
• Participates in decision-making, teaching, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Develops and implements individualized patient plans of care.
• Maintains a safe, patient-centered care environment.
• Assists with mentoring and precepting new team members.
