Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago is seeking a professional Clinical Nurse (RN) to deliver and coordinate evidence-based care for an assigned patient group, including planning, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with ANA standards.

As part of the NMH team, you will collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff, participate in teaching and mentoring, and contribute to a safe, patient-centered environment while advancing professional practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
• Oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.
• Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patient-centered care and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Maintain safe, ethical nursing practice and adherence to NMH standards.
• Mentor and support junior staff and participate in ongoing professional development.
